Imagine rowing in a silent canoe where you breath in the freshest air, tasting and smelling aromas from a wide diversity of flora and fauna. You begin to tap into the exotic bird calls of the amazon rainforest. Looking up you notice all the textures in the trees, and how the palm trees move in the wind. If you’re lucky, you might here a family of monkeys swinging in the treetops looking for delicous palm fruit. In the Amazon Rainforest, your senes will be blown away by the diverse aromas, sounds, tastes, sights, and feels. At Shuar Cultural Center, we offer unique experiences that are aimed for you to connect intimately with nature.

During this trip you will be able to connect and learn about the importance of spirituality and the relationship that exists between human beings and nature through the cosmovision of the Shuar culture.
Wetlands cover a small portion of the planet but their capacity to capture carbon is enormous. They can store 50 times more carbon than tropical rainforests, which helps keep heat-trapping gas that contributes to climate change out of the atmosphere.

In order to balance the dimensions of your mind, spirit and body, you will engage in a totally unique ancestral ceremony with the kambo frog. The defensive method of this Amazonian amphibian will allow you to live an experience of deep healing and a spiritual encounter with yourself.
